A Few Messages from our President

OOOOOOOOPPPPS

My sincere apologies to those of you who got the Magnolia Acres show prize list later than the rest of the membership. Just when I thought I was well ahead of the game, I found a page of mailing labels between a stack of entry forms. They have been duly mailed out and feel free to give me a hard time!

ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

Highway 59 in the Porter/New Caney area is still under construction. You never know from day to day when they are going to close/change an exit so please check with Texas DOT before leaving home.

WE NEED A VOLUNTEER!

After years of volunteering , Miss Anita would like to gracefully bow down from her extra duties. If you are interested, please contact Anita or Sheran and we will fill you in on the job and its perks (ha!!)

Hope you all had a great summer and look forward to seeing you soon!

Membership Has Its Rewards - 2008 Form Online

Be sure to fill out your membership form, which is downloadable here and will also be located in the newsletter which has just gone out the door. 2008 fees are the same as last year - $15 for membership and $1 for horse registration, so be sure to get a new 2008 form. Please send in the entire form when you do. If you aren't a member yet, download a membership application and join us! Feel free to ask around about San Jac. We're sure you'll hear plenty of rave reviews (especially from our year-end awards winners!)

For points to count toward year end awards:
Riders must be members for all awards
For Hunter and Jumper awards, horses must be registered AND their owners must be members
For Equitation awards, horse registration is not required

San Jac Farm Information

After a couple requests and some searching on the internet, I have updated the Contacts Page to include links to websites of our hosting farms. I don't have all of them at this time as some farms just don't have websites yet. I'll be updating the website to contain a page of information for those farms that do not host their own site.

Candids getting popular! Yes, I have FINALLY updated them.

In order to make my updates faster, here are some guidelines when submitting photos.
  • All files need to be in a JPG format
  • Clearly identify who is in the photo
  • Vertical oriented images should be around 206x282 pixels
  • Horizontal oriented images should be around 304x228 pixels
I have received many updates to the candids page. As always, keep them coming! I may have to start making pages for each of our barns, as I am getting a long scroll of photos on the candids page! For posting on the SJHSA.ORG site, send the photos to me (Natalie). If you don't have them scanned, you can always post mail them:
