Next Stop - Serenity Farms - June 7 & 8

Some quick words from our President:

Kudos to Dianne and the gang at Whipple Tree for putting on a wonderful show! The schooling area, new jumps and lots of flowers were a great addition and the rings ran like clockwork.

Thanks to everyone who supported the Magnolia Acres show. We really appreciated the hard work our customers put in getting everything ready.

See you at Serenity!
Sheran

A New Year and a New President

And now, a word from Sheran Lewis:

Welcome to 2008! Hope everyone had a great holiday season. The SJHSA Directors would like to thank you all for your continued support and wish you every success for this year.

After several terms of being let off the hook, it's my turn to head up the organization this year. Actually, I'm very excited about leading the SHJSA in 2008 and promise I will do my best to make it a great year. I want to hear all your ideas, suggestions and comments so please feel free to e-mail me at sheran.lewis@sjhsa.org or mafarm@swbell.net. We're always open to your ideas - we just need to know! During the show season, we will be asking for your opinions in the form of questionnaires which will be available at each show . Please use these as a positive tool to let us know how we can make your organization the best!!

Get your thermals ready for the first few shows (mine are pink!!!). The North Fork Show (February 9 and 10) is our debut - once again to be held at the Lone Star/County Fairgrounds in Conroe. Last year's show was a wonderful start to the season - all those rings, all those stalls - fancy!!! Rules, etc are up on the website so please feel free to download for your reference. A current copy of the rule book will be on hand at every show office. Membership forms are also ready. Go join and get those points! Are you interested in hosting a SJHSA show with a view to being a Director? We're looking for a few barns that meet with our requirements for 2009:

  • 1) Participation - 80% of all shows
  • 2) SJHSA Membership of Barn Owner for 2 years
  • 3) Two safe, fenced arenas plus good schooling areas
  • 4) Plenty of parking space for trailers and visitors
Let's have a great, safe, and FUN 2008!

San Jac Farm Information

After a couple requests and some searching on the internet, I have updated the Contacts Page to include links to websites of our hosting farms. I don't have all of them at this time as some farms just don't have websites yet. I'll be updating the website to contain a page of information for those farms that do not host their own site.

Candids getting popular! Yes, I have FINALLY updated them.

In order to make my updates faster, here are some guidelines when submitting photos.
  • All files need to be in a JPG format
  • Clearly identify who is in the photo
  • Vertical oriented images should be around 206x282 pixels
  • Horizontal oriented images should be around 304x228 pixels
I have received many updates to the candids page. As always, keep them coming! I may have to start making pages for each of our barns, as I am getting a long scroll of photos on the candids page! For posting on the SJHSA.ORG site, send the photos to me (Natalie). If you don't have them scanned, you can always post mail them:
